Grand Halls
There's really no other way to describe Milan Cathedral other than grand. It's a stunning work of art, both inside and out. So grand that construction began in 1386 and wasn't fully completed until 1965. 579 Years in the works and some uncarved blocks still remain to be completed as statues.
It's an astonishing accomplishment, but interestingly, many experts consider the Cathedral a failure, being a conglomerate of many styles and not doing justice to any one of them.
Here's a shot I took of one of the side halls during a quiet afternoon.
