Storm by the Pier
I drove to Deerfield Beach with the hope of catching a pretty moonlit sky and although I read earlier that there was a chance of storms later in the evening, I figured I'd be ready for both opportunities.
I set up my gear on the beach and patiently waited for the moon that didn't want to come out from behind the clouds. It popped out for a few moments, but behind it, I could see flashes of lightning that let me know that I might be getting a bit wet. As I debated on leaving, the storm grew stronger and I figured I would just stick it out for a bit. I had taken quite a few pics of the pier and then I focused on the sky. I'm not going to lie and say it wasn't a bit scary out there, especially when I looked around and realized I was the only one on the beach. A few other photographers fled at the first sound of thunder. Then again, they missed all the fun and didn't get the shot.
