View from the Bridge
Buses and tripods do not get along. I can tell you this firsthand from experience. I set my tripod down on a short bascule bridge that crosses the intracoastal, connecting Hollywood Beach to the mainland. It's narrow and older and has a tendency to shake quite a bit, especially when heavy vehicles make their way across it.
After setting up shop and ready for some long exposure photography, a gaggle of buses ... can I say that? I kinda like school of buses better. Anyway, a few buses raced over the bridge and it got very shaky. Not good at all! I only needed 20-30 seconds of relative calm to get some sharp images. Quickly looking from one side to the other, it seemed all clear and I depressed the shutter ... oh joy, another bus is coming. I wonder if city management is aware of how many empty buses circle the city late at night just to shake bridges.
