Shoe Shine

Walking through a downtown Charlotte mall, this scene just felt like a piece of old Americana. Can I say that or is it Vintage Americana? Either way, the shoe shine stands seem to be disappearing as fast as the DVD player. There was something about that worn out chair, boom box, and the little American flag, proudly wedged into the electrical outlet. A remnant of a bygone era still struggling to stay with us.
