The Buildings of Nyhavn
Without question, one of the most popular hotspots in downtown Copenhagen is Nyhavn. It's a 17th century waterfront canal that was a hangout for sailors and packed with seedy taverns back in the day. Turns out that Copenhagen’s harbor had a history as colorful as its present-day buildings.
More recently, Nyhavn has seen a renaissance and has become a popular destination for residents and tourists alike. I wanted to stick around for the evening festivities, but I had a super long day and was a bit under the weather. I just wanted to head back to the hotel to have a cappuccino in the bar and edit photographs on my laptop. Fortunately, I was able to grab a couple of shots before making my way back.
Don't worry Copenhagen .... I'll be back!
