The Glowing City
I have a thing for sunrises and sunsets and I think this is true for most photographers. Those short hours and sometimes minutes lend themselves to dramatic images.
Here is an image that I almost missed. Learning that I was so early in my last few attempts at catching a sunset, I walked the city not paying attention to the time. Realizing the time, I picked up the pace and headed back to the hotel. Passing my hotel room, I walked out to a balcony area where I had a beautiful view Amsterdam's cityscape. As I quickly set up my gear, the sky lit up on fire. I was able to snap off 5 or 6 shots before the brilliant light dimmed and the magic was gone.
