Fading Night

While I've never been a fan of waking up in the middle of the night, it's one of those things you learn to accept if you're a landscape artist. It's just a fact that the best lighting typically takes place somewhere around sunrise and sunset.

Despite my innate desire to continue dreaming until the sun rises above the horizon, I am always inspired by that magical moment as the sun prepares to make it's way above the horizon. It renews my spirit and reassures me that we've been given another day to appreciate this beautiful world. Sometimes we need that moment to let us know that we can't take it for granted.
