Santorini View
A classic view of the churches of Santorini looking out on the Aegean Sea.
There's a story behind this photo as I had planned on taking this shot before arriving on the island. To get this particular view, there is one narrow staircase down the side of the cliff to a landing. Not an issue unless a couple renewing their wedding vows with a photographer had taken up residence on the stairs and landing. But I was intent on taking this shot and patiently waited. After about 10 minutes the photographer looked up at me and said, "not much longer." Another 10 minutes passed and she looked up and said, "are you going to be long?" I ran down the steps without my tripod and clicked off 10 or 15 shots before thanking the couple and photographer for allowing me a few moments to interrupt their shoot so I could take this photograph. And so, here’s my version ....
