Under the Pier
I believe this is the first shot I took when I received my Neutral Density Filter kit. Setting up under the pier, two older fellows walked behind me and just sort of stood there watching me set my gear up. Finally, one of them asked with a heavy British accent, "What are you taking a picture of?" I figured they'd be bored listening to me talking about long exposure and filters and all, but they seemed genuinely interested. Before long, it seemed like this was becoming a group project.
I find it so gratifying when I'm working on a project in the field, that other people want to get involved in some way. They had to review each picture, suggesting other angles and settings. We must have been at the beach for over an hour and had a great time creating some wonderful memories.
