Cliffs of Moher
We took a train out of Dublin and eventually hopped a bus and made our way to the Burren region in County Clare. Winter time in Ireland and it was cold, windy and stormy and I wasn't feeling that photography vibe. But hey, after three or four hours of traveling, I was going to get a few pictures even if they later wound up in my trash bin.
Along the cliffs there are railings with signs warning people not to pass. Of course, I stepped over the chains and sat down in the wet grass for this shot. The sun briefly broke through the clouds completely changing the mood.
To get a sense of scale of these grand formations, if you look closely, you can see people walking the trail along the top of the cliffs across the way.
