A Ride on the Vaporetto
Mid afternoon and making our way around Venice on the water taxi. In this city of islands, getting around means hopping on a boat for a quick ride. While I was a bit giddy every time I jumped aboard one of these boats, everyone else seemed to take it in stride as if they were riding down the block on a bus. But more than that, the sites in every direction take you back in time. There's a classic beauty here that will never fade. It's what makes Venice so special and endearing.
